TraxionTech has long been committed to fostering a safe and secure working environment for its employees. And in light of the numerous reports of seismic activity in the Philippines, TraxionTech consistently engages in various initiatives to ensure the well-being of its staff members and promote the importance of being prepared in the event of an earthquake.
In a notice by the Taipan Place Property Manager, Engr. John M. Ong encouraged TraxionTech staff to join the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) in reference to Circular No. 23M044 of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on November 9, 2023. This nationwide drill aims to test the readiness, response capabilities, and build “muscle memory” of each individual during an actual earthquake.
The continuing effort of the Traxion Team to improve disaster and response preparedness led employees to show their dedication by setting a standard for actively participating during the earthquake drill and their commitment to promoting a culture of safety and preparedness among its members. On the scheduled day of the drill, Traxion employees were given a couple reminders just before the activity for a smooth implementation of the “Duck, Cover, Hold” (DCH) technique.
Through the leadership of Ardee Natividad and Rose Lozano, the Traxion Team successfully demonstrated their earthquake readiness by executing the DCH process effectively for 2-3 minutes. The team’s consistent commitment to the drill was evident as employees took the exercise seriously, demonstrating leadership, cooperation, and coordinated responses in the face of a real emergency.
